Internet Download Manager (IDM) Direct Link Adding Error!
February 21st, 2014
Basically when I add links through ADD URL or ADD BATCH DOWNLOAD FROM CLIPBOARD, it errors me out.. I am logged in all of my accounts & pretty much never log out, nor I use multiple accounts of same hosts, yet somehow my IDM doesn’t recognize I am logged-in in premium except with MU..
I have Premium with MU/RS/FS/FSC/MF/NL, but the only link I can add & not receive error is Megaupload.
For example when I add a RS link through “ADD URL”:
This is what I receive, it gives me HTML page to download, as if I wans’t logged in or link was dead, when it isn’t..
—————————
When apply same method to MU via “ADD URL”
I receive direct-download almost immediately.

Before any suggestion here’s what I have already tried:
I have logged in & out.
Cleared Cookies.
Tried on my laptop.
Added Login details on Site-Logins in Options Menu (tried both with & without logins)
Anyhow, I was wondering if anyone else had same issue or if it’s just a general problem with IDM..
& Not to be rude guys, I already posted whats been tried already so don’t suggest things already been mentioned above.
Tick on the “Use authorization” Option
Do you have direct downloads enabled in RS?

That doesn’t work mate already tried, with login detailed saved & without

Yep, always enabled, but as mentioned above, its not just RS it’s all the host except MU & sometime NL works too but none others.
You put the login details right ? for example I have fileserve so its *.~Disallowed~
like here . Thats one thing I can think of that you might be missing out. Perhaps you are having them wrong, just to be sure copy paste the passwords from a notepad.
try diffrent version after registry clean

As said before, it has no effect mate*.~Disallowed~
like here . Thats one thing I can think of that you might be missing out. Perhaps you are having them wrong, just to be sure copy paste the passwords from a notepad.

I’m also having this poblem any help would be appreciated
Sorry to bring up an old topic. I am also having this issue with Wupload. When adding the URL it displays as .com, however the next page then changes the .rar to .htm and the wupload goes from .com to co.uk. I don’t know if this is related but if there are any suggestions then it would really help.
Thanks.
Are you using 1 or 2 Browsers e.g Firefox & Internet Explorer if so sometimes you have to enable BOTH browsers i.e Login using IE and the
same with firefox, and remember that when doing normal (house keeping) if you don’t add an exception in some form to the Cookies from the
server sites their cookies will be removed and you will have to go through the login process all over again. As for the (changes the .rar to .htm
and the wupload goes from .com to co.uk) this also happens to me on the odd occasion – I check the file size before D\loading & if its right after
the download I rename Extension to rar then decompress.
hope this helps!

doesn’t work for me too ! i have the same issue..
Cant you just click on the Rapidshare link and when it prompts the download, click Pro user or something. Because I dont think IDM can ‘grab’ the file link, like….http://www.rapidshare.com/243252/352632/file1.rar
or something.
i have same issue… any idea?
try latest idm version 6.07, you are at 6.05
open rapidshare and check there is an option called as direct download, tick on it and then use through idm it will always direct download with having the details of premium
and if its already then and u getting this problem then try reinstalling or checking on the latest versions
i installed lasstest version and still not working. everything fine with filesonic but wupload and megaupload doesnt work
i tryed reinstall and doesnt help
You are doing it very wrong my friend.
Don’t add with www prefix and com sufix, rather add with *
Bad example:
www.~ Disallowed ~
www.~Disallowed~
Good example:
*.filesonic.*
*.fileserve.*
This will make sure that ur password will be applied to any link that have filesonic or fileserve name in it, try it and it will work
Edit: Doing this way, you don’t even have to login into your account through browser.
Anotherway is to add in this form:
For example your username is “someuser” and password is “mypassword” and you want to download from http://www.~Disallowed~/file/abcdef
then adding following into idm will also start downloading immediately whether u r signed in through browser or not:
http://someuser:mypassword@www.~Disallowed~/file/abcdef
