Image out of Video

hey guys i was wondring if u cld tell me how to take a image out of a video
wat i mean is for excample a song video is running i wanna print screen it and takean image and set it as desktop background
BUT the problem is that wen i print screen and paste it in paint its okay till then if i play video after pasting it the video runs in paint as well or if i paste it in paint and then save and then run or close the media player the image goes pitch balck HOW TO MAKE IMAGE OUT OF VIDEO!!!

see if your player has a “capture frame as image” option
what format is the video ? avi, mpg, wmv ?

If you are running Vista you can go to Start > snippet tool and you can take a pic of anything on your desktop
