IDM, J DOwnloader not working please help

I am looking for something like IDM for downloading multiple files. This and Jdownloader work fine at home but when i am at college and try downloading with IDM after entering my premium account details when I go to start the downloads a window pops up with IDM like as if you were downloading a single file it just says connecting but it never connects.
I use a feed thing which comes from the college to my apartment for the internet connection I don’t seem to be able to download torrents either which makes me think it might be some kind of lock they have on it but I can download files no problem individually and visit whatever websites I want so I don’t know.
So could anyone help me with this problem or even give me the name of other programs like IDM, J downloader etc Thanks

It’s a network level blockage, You’d have to signup with a VPN provider in order to bypass it (which of course will cost
you some money)
