IDM help

August 7th, 2016

So I have the latest version of IDM, and I’m downloading links from RG. ALMOST every time it fails and says it’s maybe IDM’s fault, proxy fault, antivirus or other thing problem. I’ve used different internet providers, most of the time the download will start out great, then 2/3 the way through, fails. Pissing me off to the point I’m actually posting something trying to figure it out. It’s NOT the people I’m downloading from, I’ve tried MANY different download uploaders. I have my login information for my premium account for RG in the settings on IDM, makes no difference. Really pissing me off. Any suggestions?
Answer #1
Could be your connection. Packet loss. ISP Issue, they can check it.
Have you tried another downloader or just a save as method?
Answer #2
I just tried actually disabling the whole AVG antivirus program. After that, a 2GB download just completed… I think it’s AVG. Any idea on the setting to have AVG actually leave IDM the ~ censored ~ alone?
Answer #3
I think it could be related to which area/country you are on, in my case clicknupload is very fast and reliable and almost never fails but RG fails many times especially if the file size is relatively large like >50mb (Note: I use free version, no premium).
Still could be something at your end though, but to make sure try different hosts and see the difference.

That could just be a coincidence, maybe it was a good connection. Other than that, check the settings in AVG under Firewall and make sure its not blocked. I dont use AVG but google will help. Search “Allow program through AVG firewall” or something.
Cheers

I’m on RG now too, gave them a try and liked them.
IDM working fine for me here… but:
A] You need to turn “direct downloads” ON in RG
B] you need an IE cookie for the login EVEN if you have the login details in IDM – just go to RG in IE and login, save the cookie (password) and leave.
C] check your IDM login to make sure it’s spelt right – I did that… lost a letter in the password (duuh).
I also have IDM set to auto apply the password – in “site logins”.
*rapidgator* – then user/pass
*rg.to* – then user/path
So – firt thing to check is the RG direct download, then try it with an IE cookie..
Answer #6
He can download , the problem is corruption of files, like he explained in the OP.
