IDM

Loads of problems with IDM Installed comes up with registerd with fake serial number, renamed IDMGRHELP, removed with revo uninstaller. Also keep getting folder or file open in another program. Tried everything nothing works just reinstalled patched, run reg key, click delete completed getting this feature is only available in a registered version. Anyone any clues on what to do?

If you read. He did stated that he remove it with Revo Uninstaller. Meaning it remove everything unless he forgot to click select all and delete after the uninstallation. If you think he didnt uninstall everything. Why not show him how?
Also keep getting folder or file open in another program.
Give more detail. Did that happen during uninstall or during install etc?
Or is it during the cracking process? You need to fully close IDM before applying the crack. Press and hold ctrl + shift + esc. Task manager will pop up. Now on your keyboard click “I” and then with an mouse and right click it and press “End Task” Continue doing it untill there are no more Internet Download Manager or IDM. If your on windows 8.1….. after finishing that above. Go into Details on Task Manager and do the same to see if there any left. Now apply the crack.

The important thing is to make sure it is completely shut down before Uninstalling, Installing or replacing the IDMan.exe (crack) file.. After install it will say about fake serial number, so close that and any other boxes that pop up.
If there is IDM Icon in sys tray,right click and exit it.
Go into task manager > Processes and end any “IDMan.exe” ones. Copy and paste the cracked IDMan.exe file. (if it won’t copy and replace, then something is not shut down properly), and run the reg file..
I always get IDM from here and find that I can even install the new version over the old version OK..

Thanks for everyone’s help. Loooks like it could of worked no problems as yet. Solved can now be locked.

This happens “every” time you update. It literally means nothing. Make sure when you uninstall the older version to choose the Full uninstall option.
Reinstall the updated version. When the “fake serial” box appears just exit the box. Go to program files. Copy or paste the crack/patch. Copy or paste the regkey file. Close the program. Open the program. You now have the full version.
If you continue having problems I suggest manually going into the Registry and make sure the old key is removed.
Search > regedit > software
