I want to hide my password from myself for a month…

October 19th, 2017

I need to hide my password because I got exams coming within the next month and I’m being too distracted. The password is for my facebook and gaming sites (wow mostly) and for one of the accounts on my computer, is there any way i could hide it and still recover it after a month. I want to hide the password of my master email as well because I don’t want to be able to recover the password in any way (i tried to change password randomly, but always ended up finding someway to recover the password using email…), so giving the pass to someone who I already know in real life is out of the question. So far I’ve come up with “scheduled email” – using lettermelater.com i’ve scheduled an email. I want to have a backup plan in case lettermelater fails and I loose all the passwords…

This is pointless,You can’t hide anything from yourself!
Clearly your gonna know where you put it. If you have
some kind of facebook/wow addiction then you should
seek professional help.
Answer #2
Easy. Just have control in yourself.

Thanks for the reply. lol firstly I’m note addicted, I just happen to procrastinate a bit and I think I’ll do better if my access is restricted. Even if I did and I wanted to get professional help as you put it, I don’t have time for that. Besides I don’t want to give it up forever, because its something I do when I’m free u know… It would work as it is now, because the scheduled email is hidden from me until 21st of december, so even if I knew where the password is written down, i can’t access it until that date. I just want a back up system in place.

Easier said than done.

Install a parental control, block everything you don’t want to have access to. Have a friend or family member set/change the password for the parental control. Ask him/her after your done with exams and such.
Btw self control is way better.

I’ll have to agree. You need to learn how to control yourself, you never know when you really going to need it. Wink

Actually that is a good solution, I looked into whats available, k 9 protection seems ideal. I’ll set the password with randomly generatted password and send it to one of my friends, making sure I delete the sent message. I’ll ask him for it when I’m done with exams. Of course, self control would be ideal but I’ve already wasted half the day sitting infront of the computer, would rather have it taken away for now, have worked for me in the past when I simply gave my laptop away, but can’t afford to do that now…

remove etherne cable ?
Answer #10
use self-control. Best way to do it is study for about 1-2 hours then take a 5 min break as a treat and go on facebook then get off. If this does not work. Delete your facebook account, it just disables it and you up to a year to enable it. The other gaming forums, just don’t go on it. Or use your router to block that dns.

hahah Very Happy yeah nice idea,
but parent control will do the trick, just ask some one to fill in a password and let them remove it after the exams are over? or just take your computer put it in a chest, lock it and give the keys to some one?(parents or something?)
Answer #13
think of it this way, is it worth it to spend $$ next semester taking the same classes because you couldn’t control yourself?
is it really worth playing a game to be in college longer and have your friends graduate before you?
this is my motovation, seems to be working pretty good so far.

Thanks for the advice bro! I think I’ll try and go along these lines… Just uninstalled all game files, made sure its blocked on my computer, assigned a random password. Gave away the game file along with the password to my housemate to lookafter until further notice, told him it was the WoW key of some sort to avoid any fb rapes of any sort lol. Sorted! Thanks guys Smile

If I were to just post the password online and NOT my username surely theres not much that can be done, kinda like how having just the key without the treasure chest is worthless Very Happy
