I need a monitor for my laptop heat(think the cpu)

well basically i need a program or sumthn tht will tell me my laptops temperature.(or cpu, whatever is cause it to overheat and shut down)
my laptop has this thing for overheating at times because of my fan and i need to keep track of it until i get my new laptop cuz everytime it overheats the hard drive crashes and tht leads to a new setup of windows every week or so.
are there any programs out like tht. if so any with pop up alerts when my laptop reaches a certain temp/
