how to cut dvdrip movies?

any one tell me how to cut dvdrips(.avi,.mkv…etc).
which software i have to download for this?

Tip: set audio and video on direct stream (not full process)

boilsoft video splitter can do it, but if the audio stream is VBR, you’ll get out of sync clips. If the audio stream in the movie is VBR, you can use virtual dub and enable direct stream copy so you won’t have to re-encode it. But other than that, boilsoft video splitter can do it.
