how to create a vid of scrolling text + audio

i would like to combine a scrolling text + audio (of the text) and keep it as video file that can be played by vlc.
if possible a simple prog,not one of the big & complicated programs.

try windows movie maker …. or any other video editing software … But I guess you will not get around to get familiar with the software in order to get the text scrolling
