After all that trouble, thinking of just buying the thing?
Just disconnect from the new and delete the old key and choose activate new..
enter the below as the key
11111-11111-11111-1111X
it willl give you an error cause your disconnected from the net but it will give you an option to browse for a key.

Edit:
One of the links is for a “anti-black list patch”. But that doesn’t do any good unless I install a key first.
The other link is how to activate Kaspersky 2010 license using a key file which as I stated above does not work with v2011.
I really want to stay with KIS, havent gotten a virus in years using it. Would appreciate any other ideas.
After all that trouble, thinking of just buying the thing?I only wish I could buy the thing for $69.95 instead of dealing with the aggravation of changing keys every week, but I barely have the money to put food on the table and keep a roof over our heads for my family and I. Fishing and -software-music-movies are the only niceties I have at this time.
Solved.
Apparently, when you install the trial version for the first time, then try to install a regular key, you have to disconnect you router as well as the cable modem to get the key box to come up.
