HMDI cable PS3 to Monitor

Hi guys,i am looking to connect my PS3 to my computor monitor via the HDMI port.I was all set to buy a cable but i noticed in the store that there were a few that said “for ps3/xbox360”. I thought all HDMI cables were the same but this has given me some doubt.Do i need a cable that says PS3 specifically? the one i was saw was at least twice the price of the one i was originally going to get and the guy at the store seemed to me like he wanted me to buy the more expensive one.any help appreciated Thanks.

All HDMI cables work for everything, the only difference is the standards each version brings. I think the new 1.4 standard brings 3D video and audio support…
