Hey Brits: Karl Pilkington, how do I get more of him?
September 27th, 2013
I love this guy. I also like Ricky and Stephen picking on him. I’m a bit confused about the podcast/radio show thing. How’s the best way to get the episodes? Are they still making new episodes?
He’s real right? Not a comedian? Just a weird guy? There seems to be some debate on that.
What’s the best way to find out some information on good current UK TV shows? Any recommendations? Best way to pirate them?
He’s a podcaster, not very well known here anyway, he’s been in a few things.

You could just look at the main TV channel websites in the UK to find out about programs. Most of them are infact posted here anyway.
BBC 1/2
ITV
Channel 4
Channel 5
main ones anyway.
BBC IPlayer …..

If he’s outside the UK, he will need to use a VPN with a UK server.
*edit – and the files are DRM protected if he downloads rather than stream.
Thanks for the heads up Gilly ….. never knew that the BBC restricted their ip access to the UK …. I’ve never actually tried to access their site from offshore, interesting to know.
*Edit …. Digital Rights Management, all he has to do is use a screen with audio recorder (CamStudio or the like) and record what he sees and hears, the obvious downside is he has to run the full programme from start to finish to make a complete recording, but it does work. I suppose it really comes down to how desperately he wants the recordings.

lol, of course they do, anything to waste licence fee payers money. They even restrict BBC news sites. If you are in the USA, then you get redirected to the BBC site in New York I think.
Karl Pilkington is just a real idiot, it is no act, I used to listen the Ricky Gervais Show that he produced on XFM radio. They slowly bought him into the show and he gained more confidence about talking on air, he is an absolute nut. But they only real television he has done is An Idiot Abroad, this is them introducing him to the world. He has some very funny books out, some written word for word by him and others written properly. He made a cameo in Ricky and Stephen’s film Cemetery Junction, he was a guest at the ball, as was Stephen. Other than that he hasn’t been on much television, I don’t think he enjoys it.
