Help with playlists gone crazy!

July 26th, 2016

I’m having a very strange problem with listening to music on my iPhone iPod and iPad. Sometimes when playing the songs in the playlist, the device just skips a song and jumps randomly to another song in a completely different playlist. The songs in question play perfectly when I play them through iTunes on my laptop. I don’t think it’s a DRM problem with the songs because they played signed before this problem occurred. I have remove them, and re-downloaded them or ripped them again from my CDs but neither of these methods work. This occurs with songs I purchased from iTunes as well as songs are ripped from CD’s. I have tried using iTunes to convert them to AAFs format instead of MP3 but that did not help either. When viewed in a playlist of songs do not have the dreaded red dot and red square around them that so many people have talked about on the forums. They appear perfectly normal in my playlist but when it gets to them it jumps to something entirely random. So I could be listening to work out music while on the treadmill and it would suddenly jump to the chapter of an audiobook. Another strange thin is that when I check for example a playlist called workout music and then sync – I get two playlists added to my phone called workout music and workout music 2 – once I even got three! I have scoured several Apple support message boards and really have not found anything that’s helped. I have tried everything that they said to try such as unsyncing all the music then re syncing it, rebuilding playlists, etc. but to no avail and any advice you can give me would be appreciated.

Once again it made another new playlist. This one is filled with random songs and even some ringtones … Stranger and stranger
