Help with MSN

The new MSN(the one with the cool little green, red, orange and white dots for status) is really nice.
But the custom emotes I have never show up in conversations, my side. Just the text shortcut I have for them.
Can I change this?

have you tried using caps and lowercase, you might have saved them with both caps and lowercase words. check your emotes.

Yes. I asked people if they could see the emotes, they said yes.

I downloaded the BETA verison aswell, no emos will show up but they do to other people i think u should get the older one back myself because the BETA version does not have MSN PLUS or anything .
