Help with drivers

i have just installed a new windows 7 to my laptop.
it works smooth except it wont let me connect to the internet using cable or wireless
the devices need updating? can i do this by using usb?
ethernet controller
network controller
pci simple communications controller
their the ones not working.

Do you know which motherboard or network card you have? Use Everest to find out and go to the official website of the manufacturer.
The other way you can try is to go to properties under “My computer” and update the controllers, not sure if this will work though.

Download the drivers from your laptop manufacturer site for the particular model and put em on a flash drive later on.
Just for the record:
network controller = wireless card
pci simple communications controller = 56k modem

i have googled it and have found some drivers but im unsure if they are correct. please could someone check for me and post a link , many thanks

I have the G version of that – it’s an atheros adaptor, and the rest use the intel chipset driver also available on acer site.
