and have downloaded windows 7 from this site. I insert the windows disk to my computer, go through the first few stages of setup, but when it comes to loading a hardrive to install to, windows says I need a driver. I can see both my harddrive and dvd-rom drive when I browse to find the driver, but I am unable to select the hardrive for some reason.
Im not great with comps, so any help would be awesome, thanks guys
the disk you are using to install windows with seems to not have the correct drivers to support the HDD.
either slipstream your own version of windows with the correct drivers using nLite OR download a fresh new copy of Windows 7 with extended driver support…
OR maybe your HDD is bad :[
sorry I’m not able to walk you through it step by step hopefully someone else will be able to.
I have a cdrom with driver on which came with the pc but it says to install then when the OS is up and running. is that any help?
