Help : freezing destop : help
July 31st, 2016
I can click those TABS in window toolbar, but I can’t access the desktop (except using IDM then “OPEN CONTAINING FOLDER”)
after that all the Icon in the destop become anonym, like the image show
Maybe I have a virus or I don’t know, cuz I don’t use an old PC or slow PC, but a Core 2 DUo.
But here is my Hijcakthis scan if anyone can help:

HELP GUYS
i skimmed it quick, but i really don’t see anything wrong.
only thing i don’t like is RunDLL32.exe. it has a reputation for being a trojan.. run a full virus scan in safe mode to be sure you’re clean. if you’re clean, we can move onto other causes for sluggish PC performance.
edit – i checked your screenshot and noticed the exe’s are deleted. you definitely have a trojan… as i said, run a full virus scan in safe mode. if you don’t want to do that right away, open task manager and kill RunDLL32.EXE… if PC performance increases, delete it from its location.
I will take a day to scan all my drives, is it possible to scan only the HDD which contains the OS?
of course, all AV’s should give you the option of scanning what you want to. a full scan is the ENTIRE system, all drives, etc. but you can make it so it only scans C:\ for example, or D:\ so on & so fourth.
good luck, i’ll be here to help more when needed.
thanks! I will let you know later
after scanning with Kis 2010, it didn’t find anything.
But I had installed Tune up 2010 and it has something about this rundll32 too, to optimize or speed up start up and shut down of windows.
Is it a safe appz or something else?

Kindly visit our rules:

try use combofix… http://www.combofix.org/download.php
make sure nothings running while combofix is running….
disable your av first…..
RunDLL32.exe is safe, but it is also a common exe. for a trojan.
Try using Avast also….it deleted some 15421 viruses and trojans from my HDD..
I am not very found of Avast, but I used Kaspersky 5 years now, and I like it.
after looking thru Google, is it possible that it’s my REGISTRY
a bad memory chip is the problem
A fix would probably be Ctrl-Shift-Esc and end explorer.exe, and then run it again (new task… “explorer.exe”). Your desktop freezing like that with all the other programs running means that explorer is hanging, which is usually caused by one of the programs running on your PC (strangely it’s very rarely windows itself).
I would try closing running processes one at a time to see what;s causing it, but because it’s and intermittant error it may be difficult.
smss.exe is also just as likely to be a virus as rundll32.exe. They’re both system files (so you can’t exactly close them) which viruses take over. Virus scan is probably the best, if that doesn’t work try cleaning your registry.. (make a backup first though).
if it’s in the registry download a rootkit scanner… run a full scan, and delete whatever it finds.
if it's in the registry download a rootkit scanner... run a full scan, and delete whatever it finds.
rootkit: is this a kind of online scan or software?
if it’s the case, can you post whare is the best place or a link for a download?
thanks

have a look at that… if you have any more questions on viruses or further help, i’d suggest you register at that forum and ask.. they’ve always helped those in need.
Thank you
