Yes, Firefox with Adblock plus is the go
I use Privoxy with Firefox.
I also use Ad-block plus for firefox and ever since no more ads period
Adblock plus is the best one for sure.
And if you want to prevent SCRIPTS from being loaded, you can use Noscript addon.
very happy with noscript here. you might have to unblock some things but once set it works perfectly.
norton internet secuirty has a nice pop up blocker if u are into buying a legit security pack anyways

Best is to use firefox+adblockplus+flashblock or want more then you can also use noscript
but as if you don’t want to use ff then easiest method is to use a good set
of HOSTS file more info here …

its has the same gecko engine Of FF but is very light weight and

I would love to use that but i dont find Keys for it..
