HDD Help
August 3rd, 2016
i did lose the power adapter from it,and i cant find it on the internet.
can someone help me with this what adapter i need voltage and amperage? thank you
That’s all it says? No other text? I don’t see a model here
if i were you i wouldn’t bother going that route , Open up the enclosure
and determine whether this is an SATA or IDE HDD and if its 2.5″ or 3.5″
then just buy a new enclosure and put the HDD in it , Do note however
that if you purchased this in a combo (As in an external HDD,Not in seperate)
then doing this will void the warranty
looked at it a bit and i cant find how to open the case…
no other model is written on it just this…
from the name it came with the 400gb hdd inside ,the warranty is not a problem
There must be screws that are holding it together , Possibly underneath a sticker
or rubber peices
buy a universal adapter.. start from the lowest setting and up till it runs.. there you go
@Azzaro That has the potential to fry the enclosure and even the HDD in it , replacing the enclosure will be the safest way to go

Potential yes but if you do it right you can’t get any issues..
Buying another enclosure is another option..
this look like the case (enclosure) ? (HD6-SU2S2)

pretty sure that’s a 5volt power adapter as that’s what a standard HDD uses for power
0.80 amps is what’s listed on a 3.5″ drive
