HD dvd burning question

Hi
if i had a hd dvd file that i downloaded from here, can i just burn it to a dvd and play it on my high-def xbox DVD player?

I think it has to be HD DVD, it won’t fit anyway.

Yes u can use Convertx to dvd to Burn it to a DVd

Also just so u know, there will be quality loss as u go from mkv to vob consiering the compression so u wont get the quality u get while watchin the mkv

You should write down some more details…
What do you mean with a “HD DVD file”?
Do you mean a complete HD-DVD? (Over 15GB of size)
Or just a HD-DVD rip –> a h264 rip (in a .mp4 / .mkv / .wmv file) just like a XviD rip of a normal DVD.
If you want to burn a complete HD-DVD you will need a HD-DVD media & burner (still very expensive).
A rip you can simply burn on normal DVD medias (mostly you have to take a double layer media [DVD9], because most of the rips have sizes of 8GB+).
The XBox 360 should be able to playback your high definition rip (referring to wikipedia).
