Having a new theme in WP

I just started a sort of blog/portfolio page in WordPress and I’d like to change the theme to a more “portfolio-oriented” one. I found two that I have liked and I have downloaded the both on my computer, but I cannot figure out how to UPLOAD or to INSTALL one of the two to become as my page-theme.
I did a G00gle search and everybody indicates to go in
\wp-admin\
or so… But I didn’t see such a folder and I never saw a UPLOAD or INSTALL command in my administrative panel, too.
Any indications [step-by-step, if possible, please…!] will be highly appreciated!

Oh, and by the way, I am using the FREE OPTIONS of WordPress blogs/pages…
upload and uncompress to: wp-content/themes
OK, but HOW to upload it?
This is my problem… I see nowhere an “UPLOAD” button/option or so…
