http://www.malwarebytes.org/
Try malwarebtyes. Make sure to run an update before running a Full System Scan.
EDIT: Sometimes Malwarebytes will miss some files (all AVs may do this). After malwarebytes is done scanning and gotten rid of some files, I’d run Hitman Pro. It scans with 5 (or 6?) different AV engines and the scan only takes a few minutes to complete. It’s a good scanner for already infected PCs. Give it a try after Malwarebytes.

Malwarebytes is a good choice, but make sure you run it on Safe-mode. You should also install a decent AV, to give you more protection.

Go to this list
http://www.techsupportalert.com/content/probably-best-free-security-list-world.htm
and choose number 4, “Virus Removal Tools”.
Then go to 4.2, Tools for stubborn malware and pick one of the list.
Do note that some of the apps require “delicate” treatment so read carefully the webpage of the product you will turn to.

That’s a good list! This site might come in handy for me sometime. Thanks.
But beware. I noticed that ‘Comodo CE’ link leads to an outdated (about a year old) Beta version. If you do decide to use one of those programs, you might want to search the program through google instead to make sure you get the up-to-date version instead.

Good one!
You don’t usually need a HOST file, so you can rename it, so it does not get used,to prove it, if you suspect problems
