Getting a BSOD
March 16th, 2017
AMD Athlon phenom x2 550 BE
Gigabyte MA78gmusgh or so
200gb wd + 500 WD
Corsair xtreme 2 x2 4gb ram
also one of the BSOD said the memory management and the other said Driver_IRQl_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
ataport.sys address FFFFF8800144643B
Please tell me is it the hard disk or some other device which is corrept
Check if the problem still occurs in Safe Mode
Driver_IRQl_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL could be caused by a bunch of reasons What is the bccode? Try safe mode, and if it doesn’t crash, get bluescreenview to see where the problem lies.
Even the safe mode is getting crashed too
Have you done a boot sector defrag recently?
This was reported as causing the problem sometimes and is fixed like this:
Boot up with your Win 7 DVD and get to the command prompt and type:
c:
bootsect /fixmbr
bootsect /fixboot
It might also be “bootrec” instead of “bootsect”.
Other people say it’s a rootkit virus and to do this:
Use the TDSSkiller from Kapersky to remove this MBR-virus rootkit.win32.TDSS.tdl4.
thx was thinking the same thing
now no boot is showing, just the monitor saying no signal and the processor fan and everything is running in the cabinet, I just restarted my pc and inserted the win 7 DVD

You might need to tell the bios to boot to the dvd rather than HD. – although I don’t see why that would give “no signal”.
When the dvd boots you need to access the recovery console
To run the Bootrec.exe tool, you must start Windows RE. To do this, follow these steps:
Put the Windows Vista or Windows 7 installation disc in the disc drive, and then start the computer.
Press a key when you are prompted.
Select a language, a time, a currency, a keyboard or an input method, and then click Next.
Click Repair your computer.
Click the operating system that you want to repair, and then click Next.
In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click Command Prompt.
Type Bootrec.exe, and then press ENTER.
and
Bootrec.exe options
The Bootrec.exe tool supports the following options. Use the option that is appropriate for your situation.
Note Use the Bootrec.exe tool to troubleshoot "Bootmgr Is Missing" issue.
If rebuilding the BCD does not resolve the startup issue, you can export and delete the BCD, and then run this option again. By doing this, you make sure that the BCD is completely rebuilt. To do this, type the following commands at the Windows RE command prompt:
bcdedit /export C:\BCD_Backup
c:
cd boot
attrib bcd -s -h -r
ren c:\boot\bcd bcd.old
bootrec /RebuildBcd
/FixMbr
The /FixMbr option writes a Windows 7 or Windows Vista-compatible MBR to the system partition. This option does not overwrite the existing partition table. Use this option when you must resolve MBR corruption issues, or when you have to remove nonstandard code from the MBR.
/FixBoot
The /FixBoot option writes a new boot sector to the system partition by using a boot sector that is compatible with Windows Vista or Windows 7. Use this option if one of the following conditions is true:
The boot sector was replaced with a nonstandard Windows Vista or Windows 7 boot sector.
The boot sector is damaged.
An earlier Windows operating system was installed after Windows Vista or Windows 7 was installed. In this scenario, the computer starts by using Windows NT Loader (NTLDR) instead of Windows Boot Manager (Bootmgr.exe).
/ScanOs
The /ScanOs option scans all disks for installations that are compatible with Windows Vista or Windows 7. Additionally, this option displays the entries that are currently not in the BCD store. Use this option when there are Windows Vista or Windows 7 installations that the Boot Manager menu does not list.
/RebuildBcd
The /RebuildBcd option scans all disks for installations that are compatible with Windows Vista or Windows 7. Additionally, this option lets you select the installations that you want to add to the BCD store. Use this option when you must completely rebuild the BCD.
What I am saying is the the monitor was showing no display when I started the computer { Also the first boot device is already set for CDROM }
-Than I started removing a the device and tryied to find where the problem lies
-when I removed on of the RAM module it started upto the level of loading the windows after that I got this BSOD
Page_Fault_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
*** STOP : 0x00000050 ( 0xFFFFF88003C222D8, 0x0000000000000000, 0xFFFFF8000368802F, 0x0000000000000000)
Okay after removing that single RAM module the desktop is seem but again a new BSOD is showen it says SYStEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION, CAn you tell me where is the exact problem I am now trying to do the bootrec
can you get into system repair console? if so, try FIXBOOT.

If your ram is faulty it could be entirely that – the boot files load into ram to boot the computer, if ram is dead then those files will be corrupted in ram.
How many ram sticks have you?
if 2, try pulling the swapping them over (the one you removed in place of the one there now).
if 4, try removing all but one and try again (you might have to keep swapping in and out any one stick to find a good one).

I tried to insert theanother ram and it was working too now I am trying to swap them both I have 2 ram bot 2GB carsair
Also Safe mode is working now so I am saving my importan data first before either formatting or repairing
Always a good idea.
But you should be OK – if it’s ram bad then new ram will fix it all.
If it’s boot files bad then doing the two fixes or even the full fixboot thing won’t damage your data (unless it’s already corrupted, in which case it will remain corrupted)
also if I am trying to swap and put both the RAm the computer is not showing a single display not even the boot screen, but if I am putting the single ram module it is going upto loading windows and than showing the BSOD, could be that the second module inout of the ran could be damage, now I am tryong to check the manuel to see if I am insert the ram in the RAM section 3 and 4 or may be 1 and 3
New ram?
Old ram?
Matched pairs – same make/speed?
Depending on the MB you can usually put one stick anywhere you want, 2 into dual channel (1-3 or 2-4) and 4 in all slots.
Some MBs have to start at slot 1 and go up.
Anyone you can borrow a stick from?
Well, the best way to check for bad RAM is to use a memtest. I prefer memtest86 for this. It checks your RAM, and tells you which slot the broken memory is in. Leave it check for about 5 rounds if it doesn’t give an error on the first check, because it does sound like faulty RAM somewhere.
http://www.memtest86.com/
To be sure also check your harddrive from some kind of live environment. E.g. a Linux variant (Ubuntu orso) or Hiren’s boot CD (I prefer the latest 10.x version, not sure what that is atm).

Both are the same 2048mb 800mhz corsair XMS2 DDR2
I tried to put it in like 1-3 ans 2-4 not working even in the MB manual it is not written about the pattern, also I am able to start the computer with one ram module but still getting a SYSTem-SERvice BSOD when I try to start event viewer or anything else

Interesting.
(Corsair is good ram)
One ram stick = start computer and it goes to desktop. But when you try to open EV or other stuff it BSODs.
I’d say that it happens because initial ram use might be 1/4 of what’s there and then the EV or other prgrams allocate more, possibly corrupted ram.
(Proviso – it’s possible that a hard drive fault could do this too, if those files are corrupted)
Can you boot to dekstop and open notepad or word pad, something small with a tiny memory footprint?
The try media player or a smallish image viewer (irfanview, etc).
What about control panel?
Or do they all crash it?
….
You can get two new sticks of that ram for about $27 each on amazon, up to $70 for a fully matched set. You might just have two deadified memory modules.
A final test or two:
memtest, download the cd iso and burn it and run it for about 8 hours or so and see what it says (put all your memory back in)
A LiveCD (such as the microXP on the hiren’s boot cd) and see if you can run it and things on the cd (I’m expecting it to BSOD too).
OK guys so after going to the gigabyte service center those guys told me that the warranty is off so they wont even touch the MB
-An the corsair gave me two new ram which work fne for a day or two, but now I am getting new BSOD Like
“Paged in non paged something”
“Service management or something”
“IRQL not less or equal”
after seeing this what I thing the problem might be in the MB’s ram connectors, what do you guys thing also these BSOD usually occur most when i download using jdownloader, any connection
+ after the computer has been started and after BSOD it wont start again I have to dis all the power connection and wait for 1/2 hour to start it again.
Do you guys thing that since Gigabyte guys wont fix my MB should i get a new one or gave it to some technician to fix it { i show it to one guy whi told me it can’t be fixed } If can’t be fixed which MB should I buy I have these thing working totally fine
-AMD phenom x2 550 BE
-Radeon 4850
-2x2GB XM2 corsair ram 6400c5
-cooler master 600w RS-600-PCAR-E3
