install Windows XP over my windows 7
You can’t install XP over 7 it’s a different OS.
Save anything you want to save, format (quick) your drive then clean install XP. I dunno why you want to downgrade because XP is almost at the dinosaur stage.

first of all, its stupid to go back to xp
im pretty sure 7 is faster and secure than xp
Answer #7
Don’t downgrade. People are waiting for Windows 8. Windows 9 will be here in two years’ time. I have a feeling that XP isn’t going to be supported for much longer…

Well xp suck, stay on win 7.
Answer #19
Either dual boot, use a VM, or just go back to XP pro.
To be honest, I much prefer XP, it is a much more stable OS.
Answer #20
dont do it. Get a xp theme
Answer #21
Yes mate Dual Boot. and XP Best for users free. I prefer to Windows XP. much easier.
Answer #22
You should consider the quantity of RAM your system has because 32-bit Windows XP (what most people seem to favor) has definite limitations. I run the 64-bit version of XP so all 8GB of RAM is recognized but it is more of a pain as driver support is lacking for that particular Operating System.
Answer #23
Lol I prefer XP over any other OS as well, but 7 is new and much more secure so you should stick with 7. But try dual booting.
Answer #24
unless your using DX10/11 games there’s no performance lost with XP, and in some case it runs faster
if you have a recovery option that came with the PC you can use that to return to 7 if your not happy
I have upgraded may PC from 7 to XP with no problems, but you may have to hunt for the drivers
To be honest, I much prefer XP
agree, still using XP myself, hate all that crap 7 added
Answer #25
hehe so im not the only one lol but im still so confuse if i should or not .. -_- lol

Fishing for someone just to talk to much?
If you want xp, then just do a format and install. If you want 7 but with an xp theme, then just install a theme. Or you could just dual boot. If you are going to change, check out Ubuntu 11.10, it definitely is a different look, but it is very fast, secure, and has no problem being dual booted as the secondary system. I think the older versions of Ubuntu were a little clunky and not too user friendly, but Ubuntu 11.10 is great, ive had no driver problems, installation was a breeze, and haven’t had any problems at all out of it. Its definitely worth giving it a shot at least, hell you can even use the Wubi installer an install it as a program within windows. If you cant make up your mind, just dual boot.
That being said, Windows 7 and Windows XP both have their perks it just a matter of taste; but XP is close to dinosaur age as far as PC’s are concerned and not as much support for it as there once was, but it still is good system if it suits your tastes.
