I hope this is the right place:
Hello, I see that many people ask and have problems with Crysis as it is a game that is a performance hog. If you are having troubles with Crysis or want to know if you can run it read this please.
1)
Here are the system requirement:
Minimum Requirements:
CPU: Intel Pentium 4 2.8 GHz (3.2 GHz for Vista), Intel Core 2.0 GHz (2.2 GHz for Vista), AMD Athlon 2800+ (3200+ for Vista) or better
RAM: 1GB (1.5GB on Windows Vista)
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT, ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (Radeon X800 Pro for Vista) or better
VRAM: 256MB of Graphics Memory
Storage: 12GB
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0
Recommended Requirements:
CPU: Core 2 Duo/Athlon X2 or better
RAM: 1.5GB
Video Card: NVIDIA 7800 Series, ATI Radeon 1800 Series or better
VRAM: 512MB of Graphics Memory
Storage: 12GB
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c Compatible
ODD: DVD-ROM
OS: Microsoft Windows XP or Vista
DirectX: DX9.0c or DX10
Crysis will not run good on a PC close to the minimum requirements and will look very very bad. Even the gaming rigs have trouble with Crysis (see benchmarks). So you need a really strong gaming PC to run Crysis on high settings.
2)Crysis’s code and engine is not completely optimized yet and thats why the gameplay is choppy. The patch will be released this month and will fix many things. Here are some of the patch notes, complete list will be released soon:
Fixes
Damage dealt to vehicles when shot by LAW has been made consistent
F12 (screenshot) now works in restricted mode as well
When player melees during gun raise animation, their gun will not be in a permanently raised position anymore
Memory leaks and potential crashes
Updates
Improved SLI / Crossfire support and performance
Improved overall rendering performance (DX9 and DX10)
Enabled VSync functionality in D3D10
Tweaks
Reduced grenade explosion radius in multiplayer
Clamped water tessellation to avoid cheating in MP
Reduced LAW splash damage vs. infantry in PowerStruggle mode
Slowed Rocket projectile speed down in MP slightly

Answer #3
Yeah, I been waiting for the first patch to be released sometime this month. I played the game on ‘medium’ settings with no lag, but it only utilized 1 cpu of my dual core. I don’t know if there’s a bottleneck with my setup, but I happily play the game again if it changes with the patch. Cheers.
Answer #4
I’m fixing the post up a little because it removed half of it some how
