folders disappeared


i am facing following two problems. Kindly help me.
1. some of my folder in different drives including My Document disappeared. they are neither visible accessible. However when i reboot they right there and accessible. what should i do.
2. There are some files with tag autorun.info, but when i try to delete errors pop up as can not delete..can not find the specified path.
i am using nod32 av fully updated alongwith spybot and reg mechanic. all report nothing.  Rest behavior of system is normal. it is IBM Lenovo ThinkPad T60 series
with intel Centrno Duo. OS is XP sp2

They are there and are given a ‘System file” attribute by the virus. So they are hidden.
Goto Tools->Folder Options(Let’s hope it is there)->View and uncheck “Hide protected OS files”.
I’d format, if I were you.

My dear I have the best solution for you…. Just download Avast Antivirus Free Edition… After Install it will ask you that “do u want a system scan after finishing Installation?” Always click yes…. After Reboot it will take you to a screen where count down timer like scan disk will start for “Avast Antivirus” Be patient it will take the time according to the data u have in your P.C and when it will find a virus will prompt you….. It will clean all the viruses….. I think its a little lengthy solution but will help you to automatically delete all viruses…. And your P.C will be Ok and trouble free……
