Fixing my Old Sony Vaio (Windows 7 Installation)

August 6th, 2016

Hello guys. I have an old Sony Vaio. I haven’t been using it but when my mom tried to use it, the OS was not working. Before I stopped using it, it was just working well. My sister needs it for school that’s why now I’m trying to fix it. I wasn’t able to make a backup CD because it doesn’t have a DVD-ROM. I’m trying to make a clean install of the OS. I downloaded this version: Windows 7 Home Premium x86 (32-bit) English – http://msft-dnl.digitalrivercontent.net/msvista/pub/X15-65732/X15-65732.iso
And then I used a program to create a bootable USB installer. But when I tried installing it, this error appears: http://imgbox.com/owXvS47d
It’s telling me that a driver is missing but I don’t know which driver is missing. My laptop is this one: http://www.fnac.com/Sony-Vaio-VPC-YB1S1E-S-11-6-LED/a3408037/w-4
It’s a bit old and I can’t see it on Sony’s site anymore. My dad bought it from Greece. Hopefully you can help me because I’ll be leaving in 2 days and I need to fix this before I leave. Thanks!

If you have time:
Uncheck “Hide drivers that are not compatible with hardware on this computer”.
And see what does it say then……
That’s my idea.
Cheers
Answer #2
Google “win 7 install says select the driver to be installed”
There are a few suggestions there..
Curious why it crashed in the first place though.
Answer #3
@Tex: I tried that before I posted this but still nothing happened.
@: I tried that one but the causes are different every post. It’s kinda hard to pinpoint which one is exactly the same with my situation.
I’ll try to re-download another Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit. I’ll download from here: http://techverse.net/download-windows-7-iso-x86-x64-microsofts-official-servers/

You should be able to use Windows 7 download tool to burn your new image to USB..
