Firefox default search engine
August 1st, 2016
, FF will go to "https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/",
which is the first result by googling “download firefox addon”, this feature may be very convenient to many people, but it has changed since I install Yahoo toolbar, a page with the result by searching with Yahoo appears instead the first link from google, I tried to remove yahoo toolbar, but it didn’t work, what should I do now?
Please remember that ALL links must be coded, including, but not limited to, e-mail addresses, passwords, and internal links. Coded for you this time-Search.
In the address bar, type about:config
Then in the Filter type: search
On the bottom it should say something like “keyword.URL”
Rightclick that value, and select Modify
Then enter: http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=navclient&gfns=1&q=
This should fix it.
ALL Links Must Be Coded on - Done for you this time, make sure you Code them when Posting in future - Mighty_Marvel
Forum Rule you broke:
#3.9 All links must be coded - including, but not limited to, e-mail addresses, passwords and internal links (eg
Link placed inside here
).
change yur default search engine frm here
nope, only what said will work. the other is only for that search engine or resets with a restart (don’t know which off the two it is anymore but it didn’t work)
install google toolbar and uninstall yahoo. goto add/remove cheers
install google toolbar and uninstall yahoo. goto add/remove cheers
If you read his post, you’d see uninstalling Yahoo Toolbar won’t work.
And the easiest method is just by changing that ONE line that I mentioned. This requires no installations of programs at all, and thus is much more convenient.
