File transferring

I have a USB male to male cable.How can I use it so that i can transfer files from my PC to my laptop.

Windows 7 easy transfer or similar software.
Lan connection is an easier solution all you need is a crossover cable or a router.

Most probably if you connected two ports youd end up blowing both, You need a special usb cable like this

With that said the best solution is to connect both devices via straight through (regular) ethernet to your soho router (gateway device) and enable shearing on the pc
