Fan placement?

November 8th, 2013

Okay, so I have two internal fans in my case; one on the side casing, and one on the back of the case. (One of the fans came from my Sigma Orca casing after I bought a new case)
I was wondering what would be the ideal way of setting up the fans to make sure it blows out the most heat from inside the case? So far, I have both the fans positioned to where it would blow out any air from inside the case.
Is this a bad idea? Or should I set up one of the fans to make it so it sucks in air from the outside, and have the other fan blow out whatever air is in? I’m a newbie with fan placement.
Just to let ya know, it’s a mid-tower Mini-ATX/ATX case from CoolerMaster.

You are creating a vast suction cave reliant on whatever other vents you have to supply the air.
I’d set the side or front fans to blow IN, and the top or rear fan to blow OUT.
You need a good solid flow of air, not random breezes from whatever orifice can supply them. In one way, out the other.
(And, yes, you could have googled this.. it was just as easy to answer though)
