Errors/scrambled images with highdef DLs

August 7th, 2016

Hi,
I have a fairly new computer but have the same ‘problem’ than my old one, when I download some movies. Sometimes my image scrambles for a sec or 2, and I see a lot of blocks.
The sound is rarely (if ever) stopped or altered.
Any easy solution I’m missing here?
It seems that high definition rips give me much more trouble than the normal ones.

I got this problem awhile ago.
People say, its usually the player’s fault.
if it’s an mkv, you should probably try playing it with MPC.
p.s.
this might even occur if you are accessing harddrive more while watching the movie (don’t know for sure).

I always assumed it was just a ~ Lovely ~ computer in the past, but maybe I’m just running too many programs at the same time.
Fwiw I usually use VLC (and in this case it was mkv so I might give MPC a go)
(im offline untill tomorrow so no quick replies anymore)
Answer #3
install coreAVC, which will also install the “halii media splitter” and you should be good to go
and go for “MPC-HC”

Ahh that’s the main problem with VLC when playing 720p or other HD rips, it does that, try changing your player, try installing Combined Community Codec Pack from:

For Best Viewing experience Use Windows Media Player to play the movies, should solve the problem
