just wandering what is is whats the difference between that and normal links

Normal links = You have to wait to download the file. Direct links = No waiting at all. You can paste it directly in your download manager like Download Accelerator Plus or FlashGet.

Normal links, like ~ Dead file host ~ , u goto there, select how you want to download, wait, and click to download.
Direct links, u goto the link, and it starts downloading immediatly
