Difference bwteen OS X licensced installtion disc and Warez

August 5th, 2016

So I formatted a partition to HFS+ and installed a version of OS X Leopard to run on a PC. It was buggy, but not too bad.
Would it run flawlessly if I had an officially licensed install disc bought from Apple?

Answer #1
The only difference I see is that the pirated one is free and the official is $$
Maybe it’s your system itself.
Answer #2
It’s more likely to run buggy cause mac os x was designed to run on apple computers only, not on other pc’s
Answer #3
A retail disk would not work, because they are hardlocked to Apple hardware. That’s what the OSX86 versions bypass, that you can install it on non-apple hardware.
Answer #4
Do I still need to reformat to HFS+ ?
Answer #5
If you want to install OSX86, yes it’s the best. I think you can also use FAT32 but I am not 100% certain of it now.
Answer #6
I heard Ext2 works too?
