Counter Strike Global Offensive LAN issue

July 31st, 2016

I recently downloaded this version of CS Go “warzone”
I tried googling how to set up a LAN Connection but every search results said the same thing which seems to fail
Play with offline bots>type sv_lan 1 on the console>Type status and get the IP>Ask your friend over lan to type connect xxx.xxx.xxx.x:xxxx (IP)
and voila it should be working… NO ITS NOT!!!!!!
Every God Damn time i’m try this its just freaking not working… so i thought its the warzone version… i tried another non steam version but the results are the same.
What am i missing????

Q. Why do you need LAN to play with bots?

Concerning the bots, you can use these commands : mp_autoteambalance 0 > deactivate auto team balance
mp_limitteams x > where x is the maximum difference of players (including bots) between teams
bot_add > add a bot
bot_add_t > add a bot on terrorist side
bot_add_ct > add a bot on CT side
There are other commands, but those should get the job done.
Also, if you want to increase the maximum number of players, you have to modify the gamesmodes.txt (don't remember the exact name). A quick search on the matter with a search engine should help you find how to do it (it's fast enough, there is only one line to add).

Other thoughts:
The xxx.xxx.xxx.x:xxxx (IP) – I assume you’ve unblocked the xxxx port on your router?

I assume your friend is on the same network as you and you changed the xxx.xxx.xxx.x:xxxx to a correct ip adress ? something like 192.168.1.6:8080 ?
You also must have the same version of counterstrike and it should be allowed in the windows firewall.

@ This is not concerning the bots, to play LAN game with your friends you have to go through the offline with bots mode, and about the IP part, yes I have unlocked ports and also my firewall is allowed for the game and my friend and me are running the same version of the game!!
