convert video program, can anyone reccomend me one.?

I have a harddrive/media player that i can save all my files onto, then unplug it from the pc and take it upstairs and watch a film, ive almost done away with the need for disc’s with it.
But It plays AVI files And mpeg 1+2 div-x Xvid vob.
So what im looking for is a program to convert from mpeg 4 and WM-video/audio to any of the foremention types.
And advice or help would be much appriciated.

TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress
search “XPress” in appz section
mpeg 4
assume you mean MP4 type vids and not sure it will do those
look for a MP4 to AVI converter
or
if you have Quicktime Pro convert them to mov format in it then to AVI with TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress

MediaCoder or Super 2007. They will convert anything you throw at it, and in excellent quality too.
