June 25th, 2019

Hello mates help me out with this problem

Info:
Assembled PC
Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate
I have onboard Graphics card
8 gb ddr3
1TB hard disk
Intel 3110 i3 Processor
Symptoms:
1. Computer freezes after 1-20 mins into launch, Mouse Keyboard doesn’t work at all and I have to restart PC.
Other info:
1. the computer has no problems at all in safe mode.
2. No problem with HDD. I replaced it 2 days back.
3. Sometimes my doesn’t boot and I have to restart it again, it boots next time. many times it doesn’t boot even after 3-4 times restart.
Explaining 3. point above – Monitor doesn’t show any bios screen or anything.Sometimes only American Megatrends logo is shown on screen but nothing else and PC doesn’t boot after that screen
I am thinking to visit Mother Board Repair Center to get it checked as it is warranty but first I want to troubleshoot problem myself.
So please help me out to diagnose the problem and post your suggestion. Is there a way to create a log by any software to detect why and when the system freezed

Answer #1
Try to flash the BIOS – take out the battery for a minute and insert it again

Also test the RAM
Answer #2
will this cause flash the bios, removing the battery?
Answer #3
could be your on board gfx, have you got a gfx card you can try? removing the “battery” from your bios doesn’t always reset it, can you look on your mobo for “reset bios” should be there somewhere. have you overclocked your pc?
Answer #4
No, I don’t overclock PC. Anyway it seems BIOS has been reset by taking out CMOS battery. Also hanging problem seems to have sorted out. I will see the status for 1 week and comment here
