Computer Issues

Okay so i rebooted my computer and a window popped up saying it Found New Hardware “Video Controller”. When i click Install the software automatically. It says it can’t “Cannot find the neccessary software”. So than i tried the other step, “Specific Location”. When i do this i go into my driver CD (Computer got wiped and the computer people had put my drivers onto a disk). But when i do that it still says it can’t find the neccessary software. Can somone help me with this please? (P.S I’m not good with computers at all so if you ask me for its specs i wont be able to tell you )

It might be as simple as the driver CD not actually containing the drivers for the graphics card. If you know what kind of graphics card is in your computer you could simply go to the website that it belongs too and just download drivers directly from them.
If it didnt find the drivers I would say that it’s because they just arent on the disk.

If you are using windows 7 / Vista try the “find online” option. It actually works most of the time for the rare driver that you might not be able to manually locate.

It didnt dawn on me until now, but you could do a search on for a program called “Driver Genius” it will detect and download drivers and install them. I’ve used the program once and it seemed to work well even for drivers that were not installed. It was able to detect the hardware and download the driver with little trouble. It seemed to download somewhat slow, but nonetheless it did download and install the drivers, and give you the opportunity to backup the drivers in case anything happens at a later time.

Thnx guys for the help But i had found the Graphic card disk. It installed perfecttly fine (took awhile) and now everything works. Except for some reason WCIII (and only WCIII) has a bunch of lag spikes while playing online.. It has never done this before. Abd i don’t know if this does it on Solo/campaign mode. (i could find out if needed to, and i can tell you my spec now since i know how to find them, just need to tell me what you need to know)
