Comptia Network+ – Metro-ethernet and MPLS
July 26th, 2016
I’m currently going through Comptia Network+ certification and both Metro-ethernet and MPLS are mentioned in this course. However i can’t seem to wrap my head around those topics anyone feel so obliged to elaborate?
Keeping it simple.
MPLS consists in routing the traffic from A to B trough the use of labels rather than the extended address. This saves the time needed to looking up a routing table.
Metro Ethernet is usually the Ethernet “artery” of a city network connecting the subscribers to the larger worldwide web.
This is the concise summary that is the key to understand the concept in a more rigorous form.
