Retail and OEM are one and the same.(except it differs how ‘activation’ works)

? The same? I always thought oem had drivers installed that where specific to the name brand. i.e dell oem disk would have dell drivers and software bundled. You can run into problems *sometimes not always* using a oem of one brand on another due to driver conflicts. But perhaps I am mistaken but I don’t believe so.
Retail and msdn would be one in the same. Just different in the way they are distributed. One being in store the other from Microsoft directly.

is there is direct link from MSDN for the retail one?
thank you guys

You probably installed update Kb971033. We will first need to uninstall this. Go to start control panel (view by large icons) programs and features.
In left panel click view installed updates.
Scroll to you find Kb971033 and uninstall it.
Next lets change the way your updates work.
go to start control panel windows update.
In left panel click change settings.
Set this to download updates but let me choose when to install them.
Download remove Wat from forum and run it very easy. Reboot computer and now we will recheck for updates so we can set kb971033 to hide itself.
Start control panel windows update.
In left panel click check for updates. It should find Kb971033.
Right click on it to see options. check the box to hide update. Should be all set and good to go. Good luck.
(Just start at change way update setting are as it wont be installed in your case)
