Chm propblem displaying pages

hi mates, i’ve downloaded lately some chm files and i couldn’t read them it shows me this:
This program cannot display the webpage Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet. The website is encountering problems. There might be a typing error in the address. What you can try: Check your Internet connection. Try visiting another website to make sure you are connected. Retype the address. Go back to the previous page. More information This problem can be caused by a variety of issues, including: Internet connectivity has been lost. The website is temporarily unavailable. i have the same problem with caislabs ebooks , i’m runing XP SP2 and i installed all the latests security updates, i’m using firefox as my default browser and of course IE7 is already installed i’ve tried to edit the registry, and couldn’t solve the problem

Quite easy, if you know how . Stupid Windows locks the file. Right mouse button on the file then click properties then deselect Block or disable or anything in that way (My windows is not english so cant tell you exactly).
