Captcha Problem
August 2nd, 2013
Recently I have been noticing that any Fileserve links i try to download as a free user do not work. Everytime i click slow download it says that I have entered an invalid captcha but the captcha does not even pop up or show up on my screen. I tried cleaning my cookies and cache but nothing worked. I tried in other browsers too like Google Chrome (I use firefox) but nothing works.
Does anyone know what the problem is and can anyone help? It would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance Everyone.
Did you install any applications and/or add-ons that may change/interfere with the way your browser displays a page; ie NoScript or Ad Muncher?
This has happened to me when I used Ad Muncher. Simply disabling Ad Muncher fixed my issue. If you’re not sure if any add-ons could be the culprit, you can restart Firefox with no add-ons enabled by clicking the Orange Firefox button on the top left and going to Help —-> Restart with Add-ons Disabled…
When Firefox restarts, you will see a box pop up before Firefox actually loads. Just select “Continue in Safe Mode”. If you can now see the captcha while in Firefox’s Safe Mode, you know it has to be one of your Add-ons causing the issue. If that still doesn’t load the captcha, try disabling your Anti-Virus / Firewall to see if they have anything to do with this issue.
Hey drdaylight389,
Thanks for the reply. I tried what you said and it did not work. Also i noticed some websites have been acting strange. Whenever i go on pitchfork.com none of the images will load and when i highlight text and rightclick search google for, that does not work also. I’m not sure what the problem is as the captcha problem and the website pitchfork don’t load on any browser i use.
