Cannot install nVidia graphics drivers

August 4th, 2016

I recently installed a bare minimum version of Windows XP 32bit. It had no service pack or any drivers except the ones necessary to boot the system. I finally got wifi working and installed SP2. however, I cannot install nVidia graphics drivers. I am using a GeForce 8600, and the error message says that nVidia cannot find any drivers that are compatible with your hardware, and setup will now exit. What should I do?

It depends who manufactured your card aswell as the model number. Some of the cards e.g Special edition with 1GB VRAM have big problems with drivers. Best thing to do would be go to your card manufacturer’s website and download drivers from there.
