Can i Manually set DNS servers in BT Homehub

3.0 can i use my own dns server forcing one or does it have to be what bt supply you with the default?

you can set DNS servers manually, but make sure it sovles all levels of names.. if not, you’re in trouble… I always recommend google public DNS.. the best ever

correct me if im wrong you mean it would have to be a available and compatible with bt

You can just set what DNS servers you want to use on the pc, not the router.

well, you can set DNS servers such as given by your ISP or public DNS (google dns, open dns…etc)…

But, if you mean something like having your own DNS servers assigned manually, then you should probably need DNS servers separately installed within your premises since BT home hub you’re referring to is a wireless router

You just right click on your internet connection on the pc in Explorer, and choose properties > Internet Protocol > properties, then fill in what you want to use instead of obtaining DNS automatically.

194.74.65.68 is the fastest do i use secondary 194.74.65.69 cos 192.168.1.254 is only a primary thats default ..
