Building a PC soon, can you help me build it piece by piece?

August 6th, 2013

Okay I’ve never built a PC before but I desperately need one. I am sick of dell garbage.
I think I will start with the CPU, I am thinking the i7-2600k because it seems like the best bang for the buck that will last me for a long time.
I am looking for speediness as priority #1; speediness during everything I do with the OS and programs. I just hate clicking on something and waiting for it to process. Also, I will like to use it for movies, video editing, photo editing, programming and things such as that. Gaming is not an issue.

SSD will be the thing to make windows more responsive rather than the CPU.
The 2600k is a great chip though but the i5 2500K offers better performance/$
Will you be overclocking the new hardware?
Answer #3
Well I am looking at around $1300 max
Answer #4
A mother board with a Z68 chipset would be good.
Using a SSD for the OS and important Apps should make it fast..

I’d like to overclock but later on in life.
I’m wondering if I should just get the 2500k..
