Bluray player doesn’t have wireless..

August 18th, 2013

Is their such a thing? I just bought a $100 player and it has the option wireless, but it’s greyed out and I can’t choose it.
If I can’t choose wireless then I will be forced to move my router from downstairs to upstairs and I don’t want to do that and purchase a monster cable as it will look ugly. I just want to be able to stream netflix on my hd tv wirelessly. How would I go about doing this?

Answer #1
from the main router pull a cable and install another router upstairs and put the cable in it…then you can configure your blueray to communicate with the newly installed router and walla!!
Answer #2
You usually need a wifi dongle, the dearer players come with one, the cheaper ones you buy one.
do a google search for your player model and wifi dongle:
“Phillips xyz wifi dongle”
