Best Youtube downloader

I want to dl a video off of youtube and take the vocals. What is the best software for the downloader?

I use IDM. Because I use it for all downloads and it shows a download button on media when its detects it. So I never bothered with anything else.
As for taking the music out afterwards. Separate software.

Best part of using IDM is it asks you witch quality format you want to download if there is more than 1 option..

I download the movie with IDM then convert it to mp3 with EZ CD Audio Converter, only takes a second. Gives me more options. youtube-mp3 appears to be a good idea but it involves a 3rd party website.

I use jdownloader 2 beta. it will dl the video, just the audio and a jpeg screen of it

IDM is just one of them.
you want to do it in the browser itself, there are sites like keepvid that also give you the option to download just the audio stream.
and then theres the youtube desktop app that allows you to download video too.

I like Replay Media Catcher. If you have never used it before, then I should mention that this program is NOT the same as Replay Video Capture … although it IS made by the same company.
