Anyone know what is currently the best lightweight Notepad replacement [for raw text editing], and why? Any recommendations? Thanks.
Answer #1
I use Notepad ++ instead of notepad. Why ?
It has syntax highlighting for many different languages as well as user defined ones, it has a tabbed interface, multi view, multi document editing, bookmarks, macros,etc.. It’s free and actively developed.
