Battlefield 3 has messed up my use of the internet

October 16th, 2013

Hey
after downloading BF3 and getting the crack, i tried to run the game, and nothing happened, then i went onto the internet to see if anyone else was having this problem, but i coudlnt go onto any webpage, it gave me an error about proxy settings
when i turn proxy settings OFF in firefox, i can browse the net, but meanwhile, internet explorer doesnt work, and i cannot launch World of Warcraft as it cannot download patch information.
this happened twice, first time i restarted the PC and it was back to normal, this time, its just not sorting out at all.
please help
thanks

Answer #1
have a look in your hosts file..
c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\
open the hosts file in notepad ideally you shouldnt have anything in there at all apart from lines that are already commented out with hash’s –>#
Does just sounds like a virus though which is why cracks are never the best thing to just download.. if you wanna upload the crack I can have a look at what its actually done if it is that.
you can always run a online scanner www.bitdefender.com has a free online virus scanner and removal tool… just go there and scroll right down the bottom of the page
Hope that helps.
