assigning new IP address

hello all, So i was playing diablo II LOD (not using any hacks or 3rd party programs fyi) and i of course get the temporary ban from the realm for joining too many games,etc. but it has lasted soo long!. I have read that it is a restriction on your IP but if you have a dynamic IP address which i do.. i can get a new IP assigned and be good to go. I have done these steps:
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
none of these assign me a new IP.. i just keep getting assigned the same IP.
Any suggestions?

try turning the modem off, wait ten seconds, then turn it back on and you should get a new ip

Are you on wireless? If you’re on wireless you’ll need to reset your modem. ipconfig /release and /renew will just stop and renew your connection to the network not the modem.

If you have a cable modem, you have a high-possibality of having a static IP. With a Static IP, no matter what you do, your IP will stay the same. Only way you can change it is contacting your ISP. ~Blaze

If your problem still is as the way it is, then contact your ISP and ask them to change it due to your banning of that game. They will probably do it for you for such reasons.

I dunno, They might not change it.. Who knows thou. Its worth a try =P

the ban would only be temporary.. get a vpn client and use that to login and play ^^,
