Anyone here using Rosetta Stone?
August 5th, 2016
I have used Rosetta Stone V3.4.7 in the past and it works but only temporarily
After installing V3.4.7 it would work after cracking it but then upon system reboot and opening the program it would display a error message of some sort even uninstalling and reinstalling the program would not even help.
My mother is trying to learn German and I have the ISO file language pks that are supported for V3.4.7, which ISO file language pks are I think only supported to version Rosetta Stone V4
It’s sad because I have in my drive storage Spanish Complete, Japanese Complete and German Complete language pks all in ISO files, which I can’t even use now.
Does anyone know of a working version of V3 that support ISO files cause I am sure that Rosetta Stone V5 does not support ISO files it supports .rsd files as language pks.
Maybe someone knows of a pre-activated portable V3 0r V4 version.
Thanx to anyone that can help my mom speak German.
Why v3 when v5 is out and it works well?
Some friends of mine use the releases on this forum and had no problems. They used Rosetta 5 with a lot of languages.
These courses are not the best to learn a language. Now we have Internet. Internet will be a much better instrument than Rosetta and any similar course.

Version 5 would mean I would have to upgrade the current language packs that I used for version 3 to .rsd files which I would need to use for version 5 (I think)? unless I would be able to use all the current language packs that I have fron version 3 (Japanese/Spanish/German) in ISO format in version 5 (which I doubt)?
I been-a, using the Rosetta Stone-a, for-a few weeks now, its-a working great…using it to speek a-la English, is-a good

Yes thanx
Will send PM when uploaded.
There is V5 with all the language packs you were using. You need to redownload them, but they are present(you have to copy the .rsd files). The v3 languages pack shouldn’t work with v5.
@ I received the version you upped in your PM it’s working well and it also works with my previous language pks that I currently have stored on my drives that are in .iso format. I am going to go drop this program on my mom later on and she will be happy.
In light of you finding me a working Rosetta Stone Build I’d figured I might as well learn a little German with her as she teaches herself so we could kinda quiz each other on what we’ve learned… I guess.
Only thing that throws me off with this Rosetta Stone program is that there is no English affiliation with the foreign word that you trying to learn.
For example : die frau in German translates the woman in English. Like der mann in German translates the man in English.
Now der and die appear to translate as the in English but but two totally differnt spellings of the in regrards to a woman and a man, now I would not have known what die and der meant had I not have done a Google search on it myself. The Rosetta Stone program should have at least given me the English definition as well as the foreign definition of the word.
It may take some getting use to I guess?
Guess I will leave this topic open for a few more comments then I will mark it as solved.
Thanx all!!!
What you had found is one of the high number of reason why Rosetta is not a good choice. It will teach you the language in a very bad way. It will only make you memorize things in a visual way but it will hide the language from you. If you really want to learn a language, Rosetta is not the right way.
Every concept you will learn will be presented with this lack of theory. How can you teach German and don’t say anything regarding cases?
